Counselor's Corner

Remember we are ALL human!!

My name is Jennifer Melton. This is my 3rd year as the high school counselor at Cross Roads High School. Prior to becoming a Bobcat, I was a General and Special Ed teacher at Mabank ISD. I received my Bachelor degree at The University of Texas at Arlington in 2009 and after working with behavioral students I knew my future calling was to further help students in all walks of life. This led me to obtaining my Masters from Lamar University in 2018. I love working with my high school “babies” and building lasting relationships. My door is always open and I am truly here for you! Please do not hesitate to let me know if I can be of any assistance to you!!

Personally, my husband Chase and I have 2 beautiful kiddos. Which my high schoolers get to hear about often J. We are busy busy parents, with our 2 involved in all the things (sports, gymnastics, friends, etc). We love hunting, fishing, camping, traveling and anything that allows us time together that we try not to take for granted!
